KNW 2301 - Politics, Communication, and the Media
Credits: 3
This course blends theory and practice to examine how political journalists operate, how newsmakers attempt to shape the news, and how voters process political messages from opinions and make decisions. It also seeks to advance students’ media literacy regarding politics by examining the myriad sources people have for obtaining political news, including comedy and entertainment, talk radio, cable TV, and social networking.
