A study of the principles of biological evolution. Includes natural selection, adaptation, molecular evolution, the formation of new species, the fossil record, biogeography, and principles of classification. Includes 3 hours of lecture each week. Prerequisites: BIOL 1301 /BIOL 1101 (or BIOL 1401 ) and C- or better in BIOL 3304 . (*updated* 11/27/2017; effective Spring 2018)
