Presents fundamental ethical principles and their application to legal and related professional issues in the field of counseling. Reviews ethical rules, standards of conduct, and the law. Examines ethical cannons and guidelines promulgated by the American Counseling Association, American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, American School Counselor Association, Texas Ethics Commission, Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists, Texas State Chemical Dependency Counselors Program, and Texas State Board of Education.
