ITOM 6208 - Managing Big Data
Credits: 2
Covers methods for capturing, organizing, and managing databases that are both big and complex. Examines the use of data warehouses to support online analytical processes. Also, grid systems, nontraditional databases such as federated and distributed database systems, and emerging technologies such as Hadoop and MapReduce. Prerequisite: ITOM 6215 or enrollment in the M.S.B.A. program.
