ITOM 6264 - Advanced Decision Models

Credits: 2

Students gain experience in using spreadsheets for business analytics. Augments data analysis skills for business analytics in operations, finance, marketing, and strategy. Covers various modeling techniques (e.g., linear programming, nonlinear programming, integer programming, and simulation) and ways these techniques can be employed in spreadsheets to improve risk assessment and decision-making in business. Presents spreadsheet design and the use of spreadsheet tools for model analysis (e.g., Visual Basic for Applications). Prerequisites: ITOM 6252 ; knowledge of spreadsheet functionality, linear programming, and simulation modeling.
