Covers methods for capturing, organizing, and managing databases that are both big and complex. Examines the use of data warehouses to support online analytical processes. Also, grid systems, nontraditional databases such as federated and distributed database systems, and emerging technologies such as Hadoop and MapReduce. Prerequisite: Enrollment in the M.S.B.A. program.
