MATH 1307 - Introduction to Mathematical Sciences

A survey of practical topics in mathematics including permutations and combinations, probability, elementary statistics, mathematics of finance, and voting methods. Prerequisite: High school algebra. Intended as a terminal course for students in non-quantitative fields, to satisfy the Quantitative Foundations requirement. If students have existing credit (transfer or otherwise) for any other mathematics course at SMU, they may not enroll in MATH 1307. (*updated* 11/29/2018; effective Spring 2018)
