EE 7357 - CAE Tools for Structured Digital Design

Credits: 3

This course concentrates on the use of CAE tools for the design and stimulation of complex digital systems. Verilog, a registered trademark of Cadence Design Systems, Inc., hardware description language, will be discussed and used for behavioral and structural hardware modeling. Structured modeling and design will be emphasized. Design case studies include a pipelined processor, cache memory, UART, and a floppy disk controller. Prerequisite: EE 2381 or permission of instructor.
