EMIS 8372 - Queueing Theory Credits: 3
Queueing theory provides the theoretical basis for the analysis of a wide variety of stochastic service systems. The underlying stochastic processes are Markov and renewal processes. Covers the fundamentals of stochastic processes necessary to analyze such systems and provides the basics of formulation and analysis of queueing models, with emphasis on their performance characteristics. Prerequisite: EMIS 7370 or permission of instructor.
