LAW 7212 - Advanced Labor Law

This course is for students interested in acquiring a more in-depth understanding of labor law in the United States. Addresses advanced labor issues from the perspectives of management, labor organizations, individual employees, and the government. Examines labor issues arising in the non-union workplace; tools of economic pressure, including strikes and lockouts; and advanced remedial rights. Explores current hot topics including the use of social media in the workplace; labor rights in the gig economy; the interplay between labor rights and immigration law; and the impact of politics on labor policy.
