CS 8345 - Software Centric Telecom Networks Credits: 3
Focuses on the software architecture and technologies needed to design, deploy, and operate a software-centric telecom network. Such networks are architected through network function virtualization and software defined networking to achieve high availability, network and data automation, and security. The course has several hands-on projects and all students actively take part in in-class demonstrations and presentations. There are guest lectures on current topics by industry experts. Prerequisites by topic: Computer networks, cloud computing, strong programming background, consent of the instructor.
