CRCP 3330 - Artificial Intelligence and Creative Composition

Creative composition as a task represents an interesting problem for artificial intelligence: it demands not only emulation of human decision-making, but also the addition of novelty or creativity features that present numerous computational and philosophical problems in the area of computing. The course deals with artificial intelligence algorithms for analyzing and generating original compositions. Topics surveyed span multiple areas of cutting-edge artificial intelligence research applied to the creative domain. Prerequisite: CRCP 3305  or CS 1342 .
