SPAN 3359 - Advanced Spanish for Heritage Speakers Credits: 3
Specifically designed for Spanish-English bilingual students who learned Spanish at home in the U.S. and who have oral proficiency but little or no formal training. Students reactivate their Spanish and develop it further to learn more about their language and cultural heritage, to acquire Spanish literacy skills, and to develop or expand their Spanish academic language skills. Non-native speakers of Spanish take SPAN 3358 ; native speakers of Spanish take SPAN 4301 or SPAN 4302 . Prerequisite: Placement by Spanish placement exam. Enrollment permission from the Second Language Advisor is required to enroll.
