FILM 5213 - Screenwriting Thesis
Credits: 2
Centered on completing a high-quality senior thesis screenplay using classes as a workshop to improve and fine-tune a feature-length project, or a pilot episode and “bible” for a series. Designed as the culmination of the screenwriting pathway curriculum, providing a forum for putting the ideas, skills, and techniques learned through the curriculum into use on one ambitious piece. Enrolled students must come to class on the first day with a treatment and/or outline that has been pre-approved for acceptance into the course. The thesis screenplay must ultimately be defended to and approved by a faculty committee. Prerequisite: Approval of screenwriting thesis proposal. Corequisite: FILM 5112 .
