HDCN 6353 - Treatment of Addictions: Counseling Methods and Psychopharmacology

Credits: 3

Focuses on the treatment of substance use disorders, process addictions, and comorbidity. Treatment considerations address both counseling methods and psychopharmacology. Examines pharmacological, psychological, and sociological treatments; reviews psychotropic medications relevant to substance use disorders, process addictions, and common comorbid disorders; and identifies the continuum of care and counseling and pharmacological treatment approaches utilized in the field.
