DSIN 7211 - Professional Practice in Design
Credits: 2
Prepares advanced students by giving them the tools, instruction, and feedback necessary to locate and engage with potential professions in a variety of design-dependent fields. Students interact regularly with working professions via presentations, portfolio reviews, and mock interviews. Students are expected to build a visual portfolio of work, compile and design a resume, and research specific jobs that they feel align with their particular design interests. Students emerge from the class understanding how to communicate the value of their skillsets, as well as have the tools and materials to reinforce that information.
