FILM 3321 - Cinematography

Advanced production class focusing on the articulation of motion picture language through the technical and aesthetic concerns of the lens, composition, lighting, visual design, camera movement, and point of view. Students explore each of these elements in theory and in practice to better develop their visual storytelling skills. Examination and analysis of art, print media, films, videos, and TV shows is complemented by demonstration of and intensive hands-on practice with camera, lighting, grip, electric, filtration, modern color grading techniques, and software training. Prerequisite: FILM 3304 .
