Experiments in mechanics of deformable bodies, to complement ME 2340 . Simple tension and compression tests on structural materials, stress and strain measurements, engineering and true stress, engineering and true strain, torsion testing of cylinders, torsion testing of noncircular bars, bending/deflection of simply supported beams, bending/deflection of cantilever beams, buckling of columns. Corequisite: ME 2340 /CEE 2340 .
