FILM 4303 - Screenwriting the Adaptation

Credits: 3

Students learn the process of creating a screenplay based on work from another source. Issues covered include how to translate from one medium into another, how to condense original material, and the consideration of updating or otherwise adding original ideas into the adaptation. Prerequisite: FILM 2303 .
