HIST 3337 - Religion and Politics in American History

Explores the complex history of religious diversity and conflict, freedom and persecution, national unity, and national fissure in the United States. Traces the evolving legal ideas of “religion” and “religious freedom” across the development of an increasingly diverse nation. Examines how these concepts and traditions have changed over time.
