JOUR 2303 - Media Literacy and Democracy

Credits: 3

Examines the importance of media literacy to modern democratic life, empowering students to become more critical consumers of news and digital content by teaching tactics and skills to detect bias, contemplate fairness and ethics, and verify claims and assertions. Credit is not allowed for both JOUR 2302 and JOUR 2303. Prerequisite: Students with fewer than 90 credits or permission of instructor.
