ITOM 6205 - Digital Strategy

Specifying an organization’s vision, goals, opportunities, and initiatives in order to leverage the increasing digitalization of people, places, and things for competitive advantage entails key objectives of a digital strategy that include building deeper interactions with customers, offering more customized and personalized products and services, making more data-driven decisions, and implementing organizational models and processes that are more flexible and dynamically adjustable to changes in an organization’s environment. Provides students with both conceptual tools and an understanding of digital technology so that they can analyze and critically assess the viability of digital strategies intended to create value and competitive differentiation. Prerequisite: ITOM 6202  or ITOM 6252  or ITOM 6274 (*updated* 12/2/2025; effective spring 2026)
