LAW 7312 - Information Privacy Law Credits: 3
Covers in depth the numerous laws that protect individuals’ privacy. These laws include federal and state statutes - both general and sectoral - state privacy torts, contract law, and international laws such as the European General Data Protection Regulation. The focus is on creative and forward-thinking analysis of how privacy laws apply to emerging digital technologies and business practices. Course evaluations are based on participation and short essays submitted throughout the semester.
