Law 7113 - Legal Writing Fellows Program Credits: 1
SMU’s Legal Writing Fellows work with all law students under the supervision of the LAWR faculty and a Student Director. Fellows keep regular office hours in the Writing Center each week. Fellows are trained to help students recognize global problems in their written work and develop techniques to address these problems and improve their writing skills. In addition to one-on-one meetings with students in the Writing Center, Fellows support LAWR professors by participating in Fall Orientation; completing citation reviews on student work; leading workshops; and participating in class-related activities, such as client interviewing and oral argument. Prerequisites: Students must have completed Law 8375 Legal Analysis, Writing, & Research I and Law 8376 Legal Analysis, Writing, & Research II and must be chosen to participate in the Fellows Program.
