LAW 8206 - Litigation Practice: Drafting

Credits: 2

An advanced legal writing class for second- or third-year students that builds upon skills developed in the first-year legal writing curriculum. It focuses on various forms of persuasive writing, including trial briefs, motions, and appellate briefs and better prepares our students for the NextGen Bar Exam as well as the practice of law. Texas law is the primary basis for the course, while contrasts between Texas and federal practice is presented.
