LAW 8313 - Advanced Intellectual Property Credits: 3
Intended for students who are already familiar with the main contours of intellectual-property law and would like to develop their own research projects. Students examine a series of topics that, in recent years, have proven especially controversial, including extralegal IP norms, traditional knowledge, the right of publicity, intellectual-property protection for fashion, fair use, and exhaustion. Each student is expected to participate in the discussion of these issues and to write a research paper addressing an aspect of intellectual property law.
