Students explore value creation in negotiation with a special focus on organized preparation. Students learn ways to plan for and develop negotiation strategies for dealing with difficult people and considering actual and perceived cultural and personal style differences. Negotiation practice includes an introduction to documenting negotiated agreements. The course also covers mediation and arbitration as alternative ways to resolve disputes without litigation.
