FILM 5305 - Thesis Development Credits: 3
Capstone-level project workshop, designed to develop and work on senior thesis-level projects. Students must have a capstone plan in mind when they begin the course. If students have chosen the Screenwriting Emphasis, they should have a long-form (feature or series) script idea to develop; if they have chosen the Production Emphasis, they should choose either a short script/concept to direct or a planned key creative craft role (cinematographer, sound designer, production designer, editor). By semester’s end projects will either be completed or have made solid progress (long-form script concepts and outlines are fleshed out or short film projects are through pre-production and principal photography). Projects still in-progress will be reviewed by faculty for approval to be completed in FILM 5205 or FILM 5213 . Prerequisites: FILM 4304 ; or FILM 3302 and FILM 3303 . Restricted to film and media arts B.F.A. majors with senior standing only.
