The B.S. program is designed for students who are particularly interested in careers in medicine, public health or research in anthropological or archaeological sciences. Of the 50 credit hours of anthropology and other related courses required, at least three credit hours must at the 4000 level or higher.

Requirements for the Major
Core Courses (20 Credit Hours)
Regional Courses (6 Credit Hours)
Two from the following:
Methods and Analysis Courses (6 Credit Hours)
Advanced Statistics or Data Analysis Course (3 Credit Hours)
Select one:
Advanced Social or Natural Science Courses (6 Credit Hours)
(must be at the 3000 level or above)
- 6 credit hours from BIOL, CHEM, GEOL, or PHYS courses
or
- 6 credit hours from ECON, PLSC, PSYC, or SOCI courses
Anthropology Electives (9 Credit Hours)
At least 3 credit hours at the 4000 level or higher.
