Sociology, B.A.

Prior to declaring a sociology major, students must complete SOCI 1300  with a grade of C or better. Students must receive at least a C- in all remaining required courses and meet a minimum GPA of 2.000 in all courses counted toward the major. STAT 2301  or STAT 2331  is recommended but is not applied toward the B.A. Only one independent study course (SOCI 4393  or SOCI 4396 ) may be taken for a grade and applied toward the major. General internship courses (SOCI 4198 , SOCI 4298 , SOCI 4398 ) may only be taken on a pass/fail basis, and will not be counted toward the major.
