Chemistry Minor

Students majoring in other departments may obtain a minor in chemistry. At least two of the advanced courses must be taken at SMU. CHEM 4397 does not count towards the minor.

Requirements for the Minor
Core Courses (8 Credit Hours)
Courses with a lab must be taken together.
Advanced Chemistry Electives (9-12 Credit Hours)
Chosen with adviser’s approval.
- Three 3- or 4-hour CHEM courses, at the 3000-level and above.
Total: 17-20 Credit Hours
