Note:

• Recitals include four public performances, one of which must be on campus. The other three performances may be either on or off campus at a suitable venue approved by the adviser. Three of the recitals must be solo recitals of about one hour of music; the additional performance may include another solo recital, a full concerto with orchestra, a chamber music recital, or a lecture-recital. Two of the recitals must be played entirely from memory; the other two recitals should include a minimum of 30 minutes of music played from memory. Each recital will be graded by a committee that includes the professor of organ and two additional SMU faculty members or representatives from the professional community.
