Finance Honors Track

Requirements (71 credit hours)

The finance honors track within the finance major is designed to allow students interested in finance careers to take many of their finance electives earlier in the program. To be accepted into the Finance Honors Track, students need to demonstrate strong performance in FINA 6201 , ACCT 6201 , MAST 6201 , and FINA 6205 . Students who apply will be reviewed and considered at the conclusion of module B in the fall term. Those accepted will begin alternate coursework in the spring term, as outlined below. Students in the track that are interested in money management and related fields are encouraged to pursue the chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation concurrent with the coursework during the first year of the M.B.A. program. The CFA designation is offered by the CFA Institute and is a globally recognized credential in finance, and is necessary in such fields as money management.
