Professor Gretchen Smith, Director
Writing Across the Arts is a minor designed to enable students to develop strong artistry in creative writing. Students will demonstrate an understanding of words’ aesthetic, narrative, and structural uses across a variety of academic disciplines. Coursework in all approved classes involves making art in the medium of language. Students will share their creative work and their constructive feedback with one another and with faculty in order to improve their skills and develop a common vocabulary for discussing the verbal arts. Students will take 15 credit hours across at least three disciplines.
