Covers social, economic, and political considerations and their influence on federal labor and tax law in the area of employee benefits, with emphasis on the labor provisions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974. Also, the balancing of authority among several federal agencies in the regulation of employee retirement and medical benefit plans and the interpretation and application of federal statutory law.
