HR 7302 - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam in the Making of the Modern World
Credits: 3
Offers students a basic historical, religious, and cultural framework for understanding the ways in which the interactions between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, in the broader social and cultural context, have shaped the contemporary world. Students complete the course with a basic knowledge of the history, beliefs, and practices of the three religions. Students learn about the complex nature of both conflicts and commonalities among the religions and how these conflicts and commonalities are influencing the broader global societies of which they are a part. Prerequisite: HX 6305 or HX 6306 .
