JOUR 4330 - Podcasting Credits: 3
Students learn the basics of three different types of podcasting, from the basic question and answer interview to a longer narrative, storytelling podcast with multiple interviews on a focused topic. This course explores audio interviewing techniques, editing workflow, episode structure, writing, field and studio editing and mixing, as well as distribution and critical review. Students leave this class understanding the mechanics of how to produce, promote, and distribute various types of podcasts. Prerequisites: JOUR 2304 , JOUR 2312 , and JOUR 2314 . Restricted to journalism majors and minors and fashion media majors only.
