Public relations and strategic communication majors are required to meet the following additional requirements as part of the corporate communication and public affairs curriculum or as part of the University Curriculum. JOUR 4316 may not count as both an ethics course and a substitute for CCPA 3300 . CCPA 3310 , CCPA 3382 , CCPA 4340 and CCPA 4395 may not count toward a double major in corporate communication.
- Ethics/Law. Suggested: JOUR 2302 or CCPA 2328 (or ADV 2302 for declared advertising majors or minors).
- Local Contexts. CCPA 4320 or CCPA 4396 (or CCPA 4325 for declared corporate communication and public affairs majors or CCPA 4125 or CCPA 4225 for declared double majors who complete a three credit hour internship in advertising, public relations or journalism). Students who double major in public relations and strategic communication and in advertising, corporate communication and public affairs or journalism must earn a minimum of four but no more than six total credit hours of internship. At least one credit hour must be earned in CCPA internship credit.
- Intercultural/International. CCPA 3321 , CCPA 3341 , CCPA 4310 , CCPA 4385 or CCPA 4390 or JOUR 4360 (or ADV 2343 for declared advertising majors).
