MS Accounting students will be prepared for the Texas CPA exam.
Students in the Assurance & Advisory and Information Systems concentrations will be able to analyze accounting data and evaluate an entity's IT systems.
Students in the Taxation concentration will be able to discuss the factors that affect income tax returns.
MS Accounting students will learn the rules of ethics promulgated by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy and the AICPA, as well as hone their analytical reasoning and critical thinking skills regarding ethics dilemmas and decisions.
MS Accounting students will be able to communicate effectively in a professional setting.
