Program Description

Program Website

The Master of Science in Biomedical Instrumentation (MBI) is a joint program offered by the Departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The focus of the MBI program is to develop engineers with deep expertise in either ECE or ME with sufficient breadth of biological systems and the biomedical application space and who can demonstrate their ability by applying their knowledge to real world challenges in this area. The program emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of the biomedical field and is specifically focused on the analysis, design, and test of instrumentation in this area. The opportunity to engage in research leading to a masters thesis or a project in conjunction with industry will differentiate the program graduates from the competition.
