Upon completion of CCPA 2310, students will demonstrate knowledge of fundamental communication theories, including practical reasoning, message construction, and persuasive strategies. These theories will be understood in the context of real-world scenarios, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of how they relate to the practice of communication. *This is a continuation of previous SLO: Understanding Theories of Communication.

Upon completion of a professional internship, students will apply professional communication practices—including collaboration, project management, and self-presentation—to meet workplace expectations and advance in communication-centered careers. This is a continuation of the previous SLO: Professional Internship Performance.

Upon completion of a public speaking course, students will demonstrate competency in analyzing audience characteristics and communication contexts to adapt their oral messages to be clear, purposeful, and effective. Students will exhibit sensitivity to and awareness of cultural, organizational, and situational factors that influence message construction, delivery, and audience interpretation.

Upon graduation sudents will demonstrate competency in developing and sustaining coherent, evidence-based written arguments tailored to specific audiences and communication contexts. Students will exhibit awareness of cultural, organizational, and situational factors that influence argument structure, tone, and rhetorical effectiveness.   Â
