MUSIC EDUUG Meadows School of the ArtsBM - Bachelor of Music

By the end of the senior year, students will conduct instrumental or choral ensembles, demonstrating clear gesture, efficient rehearsal pacing and effective communication appropriate for K–12 settings.

By graduation, students will implement lesson plans and teaching strategies that accommodate varied learning styles, cultural backgrounds and abilities.

Throughout the program, students will perform repertoire appropriate for their primary and secondary teaching instruments or voice, demonstrating technical proficiency and musical expression.

To meet the writing-in-the-major requirement, students will produce research papers, lesson-plan rationales or reflective journals that critically analyze music education theories, pedagogy, and repertoire.
