Simple Requirements
To obtain the M.A. degree, candidates must complete 30 credit hours at the 6000 level in biological science. A three-term-hour research project is required of all students. At least one year must be spent as a full-time student at SMU.
The requirements are distributed as follows; note that completing the minimum credit hours in each of the categories below is not sufficient in completing the 30-credit hour M.A. degree. Consult with the director of graduate studies for appropriate course selection.
Upon consultation with the director of graduate studies, other graduate biology courses can be substituted with approval.
